Our goal is to provide interns with a well-rounded experience, using a hands-on approach. Mentoring is focused not only on clinical skills but also on client communication. The intern will spend time with all of our veterinarians in order to be exposed to a true variety of cases. After the intern has become comfortable with primary care and emergency medicine, there will be ample opportunity to develop personal interests. Upon completion of the internship, the candidate will be proficient in most aspects of equine practice. 

The caseload at OSEA will provide an intern with a wide range of experiences, and allow time for in-depth study of related topics. The staff and veterinarians at OSEA take pride in providing excellent care and hold ourselves to the highest ethical standards. We are a tight-knit group and value our collegial, friendly atmosphere.

Ocean State Equine Associates is a progressive veterinary practice that focuses on high-end diagnostics and treatment modalities. OSEA serves a diverse population of patients, ranging from the competitive sport horse to the beloved pet. We provide ambulatory services to all of Rhode Island, eastern Connecticut, and the surrounding Massachusetts areas. As one of the largest practices in southern New England, we provide ambulatory, outpatient, and surgical services for approximately 5,000 cases per year.
